(Quick read.)

visitportugal.com Official site. Slick. Lots of nice icons.

(Excessive clicking required.)

portugalvirtual.pt Another nice and succinct site, good for a quick list of "should sees".

(Quick read.)

portugal-live.net Would-be glitz, but real info beneath the surface.

(Requires navigation.)

wikipedia.org Excellent resource. Clean, clear.

(Deep information source. Typical.)

In case you haven't noticed, there isn't enough time. Both Carra and I have issues with denied gratification, she's 14 and I'm a lot older. Someone has got to be flexible when we each have things we want to do.

When I gave her the choice of going out to dinner with Fado or just having dinner and doing something else she wanted to do, she said: "We should always leave something undone when we travel, that way we have to come back and do it..."

We also bought two books (it's a short trip!):

  • Lonely Planet "Portugese Phrase Book"
  • Rick Steves "Portugal 2006"

Books are great when you don't have a computer on the Internet... They can also be easier on your eyes.
